Kick Off the Holiday Season in Old Town Newhall

This season, the City of Santa Clarita, in partnership with the Valencia Auto Center and Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, invite you to spend some time in Old Town Newhall to get the holiday season started.
Beginning on Saturday, November 21 and continuing through December, Old Town Newhall’s Main Street will offer the perfect holiday setting – thousands of lights, an oversize Christmas tree and dozens of retailers to make your holiday shopping a breeze.
The kick off to the holiday season begins on Saturday, November 21 with the annual Old Town Newhall Sip N’ Shop, followed by the City’s Light Up Main Street celebration, sponsored by Valencia Auto Center and Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
Old Town Newhall Sip N’ Shop
On Saturday, November 21, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the merchants of Old Town Newhall will host a ‘Sip N’ Shop’ block party in the spirit of the season. Everyone is invited to join in on the festivities! Enjoy wine tastings, appetizers, and promotions and specials at popular retailers just in time for the holidays.
Light Up Main Street
The culmination of the day’s events will be the Light Up Main Street celebration at 6 p.m. beginning with festive performances, followed by the Santa Clarita City Council officially turning on the lights to transform Main Street into a winter wonderland. The street will be adorned with lighted displays, thousands of twinkling lights and a 23-foot Christmas tree in front of the Old Town Newhall Library. In addition to the stunning light display, the evening will include food trucks and a chance to take a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Free public parking for both the Sip N’ Shop and the Light Up Main Street celebration will be available at the Old Town Newhall Library, the Metrolink Station and at several public lots on and around Main Street.
