Inaugural Celebration of Valencia Marketplace’s New Annual Holiday Tradition

Join your neighbors and friends to celebrate the inaugural celebration of a new holiday tradition at Valencia Marketplace – the lighting of our Christmas tree! This year, our tree will be 20 feet tall, but in future years it will “grow” much higher. Watch our tree grow along with your family! Everyone is welcome to bring along a camera to take pictures of their family, the tree, Santa, and more.
Thursday evening, December 3, the fun will begin at 5 p.m., with free kids holiday crafts, sponsored by the Montessori School of Stevenson Ranch, entertainment by choirs from area schools, Santa Claus will be available for photos and to greet children. KHTS will be doing a radio remote broadcast, and kids can climb aboard their antique fire truck to pose with Santa for pictures and ring the bell. Magic Castle Magician Dennis Forel will be performing his balloon magic throughout the evening’s events.
At 7 p.m., everyone will gather around the Christmas tree, and the tree will be lit during a special ceremony featuring special effects, musical presentations, Santa Claus, and lots of fun! Several community dignitaries will be on hand, along with Santa to send holiday greetings to the community, and to light the tree.
The ceremony will take place on the Valencia Marketplace Amphitheater stage, located behind Starbucks and Jamba Juice, along the Old Road, between McBean Parkway and Pico/Lyons in Valencia.
