Dancing With Our Stars Is Back! There’s still time to sign up
Following a record-breaking year, Dancing With Our Stars is back again for its seventh year of show-stopping performances, massive fundraising and friendly community competition. Since 2009, The Magazine of Santa Clarita’s signature event has raised more than $1.3 million for our local non-profits. With 22 dancers on stage, last year will be tough to top, but we’re more excited than ever for our 7th annual event on Friday, August 26 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.
And the community is just as excited! Fundraising has already begun, and the requests are pouring in to secure one of our coveted dancing spots. It’s time to dust off those dancing shoes and start working on those moves! If you’re interested in participating, either as a dancer or non-profit, please contact Alexander Hafizi at 661-294-4444 extension 107. We can help you get connected to dancers/non-profits who are interested.
“The response from this community has been amazing each and every year,” said Alexander Hafizi, the event organizer. “We’re so excited to see all the participants and non-profits coming together for our seventh year. We’re filling up quickly, but there are still spots available!”
Under the direction of Willy Arroyo and Ingrid Blanco of D’Wilfri DanceArt and Entertainment, our dancers will pair up with dancing pros to raise money for the non-profit organization they’re representing. Guests will have the opportunity to cast money votes using script, and dancing partners also will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
All proceeds raised from this not-for-profit event are donated directly to the benefitting organizations, including ticket sales.
Ticket prices are $35/$40/$50 and will be available shortly. For more information, call Alexander Hafizi at 661-294-4444 extension 107, or visit our Facebook page for updates.
