VIA Hosts Retro-themed BASH Relive the glamour of the 1960s at the BASH and help us train the emerging workforce!

Toss caution to the wind as VIA takes you back in time at the annual BASH on Friday, October 28 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.  Celebrating its 35th year, guests will enjoy the retro-themed evening complete with décor and entertainment indicative of the period.  Oh, and there are sure to be lots of martinis!
The BASH event will not only celebrate the Valley Industry Association’s 35th anniversary this year but will also offer special awards to members of distinction and will support Connecting to Success, a workforce readiness program for students of the Hart District that will serve more than 2,600 students this fall.  And this program really works!  Facilitated by more than 65 local business professionals, Connecting to Success gives students the skills they need to get started on a successful path for their future.  Focusing on important soft skills such as written and verbal communication, financial literacy and ethics in the workplace, thousands of students have entered the workforce more adequately prepared after being a part of this program.
How can you help?  Well, keeping in theme with the BASH, there are “mini-martini” sponsorships available before the event to benefit the VIA Education Foundation, the non-profit entity that raises funds for the program.
“For each mini-martini donation made, it covers the cost of sending one student to Connecting to Success in the fall,” said Laura Kirchhoff, chairwoman of the Foundation board of directors.
Sponsors also receive recognition at the VIA BASH event.  All are encouraged to show their support for our emerging workforce by purchasing a $25 mini martini sponsorship.
Full table sponsorships, individual tickets and, of course, mini martinis are available for the BASH event at www.scvtickets.com/e/viabash, or by contacting Kathy Norris in the VIA Office at 661-294-8088, kathy@via.org.
