Burritos, Cocktails and Climbing
Not all of that at the same time, of course, but it does illustrate the wide variety of activities your WiSH Education Foundation is involved in these days. As we grow bigger each year with your much-appreciated assistance, WiSH’s arms reach further out into the community to provide you with fun events to take part in while making a difference for the 23,000 students of the Hart District!
After a very busy last two months with a free AutoNation Vehicle Giveaway, raising funds for special education through the HOOPS Finale basketball tournament and our Singer Songwriter Salute Tribute Concert to David Bowie, WiSH is now preparing for a very busy August! Starting on August 17th, the fun Cocktails on the Roof pre-party is held this year at TPC’s Oaks Grille! Join us to watch the sun go down on the best view in Valencia from 5-10pm with DJ, dancing, happy hour pricing on food and drinks and bartender lessons!
August 22 brings a new partner to WiSH – the eighth annual BURRITO BOWL, held at Westfield Town Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Watch your favorite football linemen from around our valley compete in a hilarious burrito eating contest. Money goes right back to our sports programs in the district, so come out to support your favorite local teams and cheerleaders!
August 25th is the date. For those of you who can’t wait to get back up on the roof, this year will prove even greater than the last two – everyone is a VIP this year with one price for all general admission tickets, $85. Come just for the amazing food, tickets are live and already selling so get yours now! Designated drivers, and pay just $65. As always, all at the door tickets are $95.
And don’t forget about our Executive Director’s Climb for education, raising funds with her climb up 19,341’ Mt. Kilimanjaro in September! Please support our local students through the WiSH website or follow her training adventure with Henry Mayo Fitness & Health at www.amydanielsclimbs.com and amydclimbs on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
