Gearing Up for the Santa Clarita Valley 40 Under Forty Awards

 JCI Santa Clarita, also known as the Jaycees, and The Magazine of Santa Clarita are proud to announce the SCV 40 Under Forty Awards will be held on November 17, with co-chairs Lindsay Schlick and Alexander Hafizi taking the helm this year.  Tentatively planned for Hyatt Regency Valencia, this special awards ceremony and dinner honors the emerging leaders of the Santa Clarita Valley.  Nominations are open to the entire community as an opportunity to show appreciation and recognition for the future leaders of Awesometown.
After a public nomination period, the 40 Under Forty class of 2017 will be chosen by an independent selection committee of prominent and established individuals within our community.  The event culminates on November 17, when each honoree will be recognized for his or her achievements at the awards dinner.  Last year there were more than 200 people in attendance.
The Alumni Mixer which is on June 29, at Salt Creek Grille. Where we re-connect with all honorees, businesses and community leaders from the past years, get them back involved with the organization and encourage them to nominate new emerging leaders.
Opening of 40 Under Forty Nominations is also on June 29. Nominations run until August 4 and we encourage all Santa Clarita businesses and community leaders to nominate a deserving individual.
The Nominee Mixer is tentatively scheduled to be the last week in August, location TBD. At this event we get to meet and celebrate all of this year’s nominees, before the selection committee meets in early September to choose the 40 to be honored.
The 8th Annual 40 Under Forty Gala 2017 will be November 17 at The Hyatt Valencia. The gala celebrates Santa Clarita’s top emerging leaders under the age of forty, introduces them to the local respected business and community leaders and invites them into the Junior Chamber International collective.
