Remember With Us On Memorial Day, May 29
Meet ”Rosie the Riveter” and several ladies and gentleman from “the 1940s” as we honor the greatest generation this year on Memorial Day, May 29 at 10 a.m.
Santa Clarita Valley Veterans Memorial, Inc. and Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary hope you will join us at Eternal Valley, 23287 Sierra Highway in Newhall (Interstate 14 and Newhall Avenue) for our annual Tribute to Veterans.
You will also experience a fly-over by the vintage planes of the Condor Squadron, including their “Missing Man Formation” honoring all who have been lost. There will be a Flag Ceremony by the Marine Corps League of Simi Valley and the Vietnam Veterans of America, World War II Veteran Speaker, patriotic and WWII era music and we will, again this year, host the Remembrance Room. Many folks will be displaying their WWII memorabilia and numerous uniforms including those of the WAVEs and Red Cross. We will also be reading the names on the Veteran Memorial Wall at the conclusion of the Tribute to Veterans. Eternal Valley will also host a light lunch for visitors. There will be numerous golf carts to bring you to and from the ceremony site and parking areas.
We hope you join us to observe the real reason for Memorial Day! Questions can be directed to Eternal Valley or Sharon Ventrice, Vice President of SCV Veterans Memorial, Inc. at 661-755-8629.
