by | Sep 26, 2017 | On The Town

HandsOn Santa Clarita is Santa Clarita’s local volunteer center. On September 9, they hosted their 5th Annual 9/11 Day of Service event at five different locations. They started at the Boys & Girls Club where they cleaned, organized and painted, then on to the American Legion where they put together 120 military care packages for active military personnel. Supplies for the packages were donated by local schools. They also planted trees for the City of Santa Clarita. at the William S. Hart Park. Finally, they cleaned brush at the Placerita Nature Center. HandsOn Santa Clarita supplied over 300 volunteers on that day, they have served on many projects around town for many years. If you are looking to volunteer somewhere contact them today!
