Thank You to Our Military
A wonderful winter program and another way for community members to show appreciation to our local military, including active duty, veterans and especially those that are disabled or hospitalized. A heartfelt “thank you” with a simple warm blanket or a scarf and a beanie. The annual patriotic drive is sponsored by the local non-profit “Prayer Angels for the Military”, and has become another popular way to show gratitude to our military.
Handmade blankets, throws, quilts and afghans are being requested. All sizes are needed, along with winter scarves and beanies. Attach your label or include a card or letter of appreciation. Store bought is OK, too!
These gifts of comfort will be presented to our veterans and shipped out to local deployed troops.
Additionally, gift cards are accepted and always a welcome site for a veteran in need. Prayer Angels for the Military is a 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to supporting our troops and veterans. October 1 to December 15: Collection dates for blanket program and gift cards.
Drop off site 24/7: 21609 Oak Orchard Road, Newhall, CA 91321 (in Placerita Canyon near Masters College). Or call for large quantity pick-up. Tax-deductible shipping funds are always needed to mail out the blankets going overseas to local troops. Donations can be mailed to Prayer Angels for the Military at the drop off address, or donate online at www.prayerangelsforthemilitary.com.
