In celebration of the release of feature film Broken Memories on VOD and streaming services, Digital Jungle Pictures presents an exclusive Hollywood benefit screening, Tuesday, November 14, at the Writers Guild Theater 135 S. Doheny Dr, Beverly Hills. All proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles (ALZGLA).
Red-carpet arrivals begin at 7 p.m. and a cocktail reception will precede the 8 p.m. screening. The evening will end with a meet and greet with the film’s stars Ivan Sergei, Rance Howard, Kelly Greyson, Michael Worth and Cerina Vincent. Tickets are priced at $200 and $350 per pair; sponsorship packages begin at $1,000. Reservations can be made at http://www.brokenmemoriesdebut.eventbrite.com/. For sponsorship packages, contact KC@digijungle.com.
With honored guests Ron Howard, Clint Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard, the reception will feature a special 89th birthday celebration to Rance Howard. With 65 years, seven films currently in production and nearly 300 roles, this patriarch of three generations of renowned storytellers has made a place for himself as Hollywood royalty.
BROKEN MEMORIES addresses the impact of Alzheimer’s on a struggling family. Written by Frankie Lauderdale, BROKEN MEMORIES is directed by Michael Worth (Killing Cupid, God’s Ears) and produced by Kassi Crews through Broken Memories, LLC, in association with Digital Jungle Pictures. Executive producers are Gary Levinsohn (Saving Private Ryan, Jack Reacher, The Patriot) and Dennis Ho (A Better Place, Day of Days).
A poignant drama, BROKEN MEMORIES depicts the untold story of a family caregiver. Once estranged from his family, Levi (Ivan Sergei) has returned home to care for Jasper (Rance Howard), his father, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. Committed to preserving his father’s independence and dignity, Levi sets aside their personal history and runs the family farm with seemingly little help from his sister, Sara (Cerina Vincent). After Jasper wanders off one too many times, Levi agrees to hire a beautiful and mysterious caregiver named Maggie (Kelly Greyson). Her patience and warmth begins to rebuild the bridge between father and son as the old house begins to resemble a home once again. However, Maggie has her own turbulent past that eventually catches up with her, changing everything.
“There are over 5.5 million people in the U.S. with Alzheimer’s. BROKEN MEMORIES is, in part, a love letter of appreciation to anyone who is a caregiver,” said Crews. “This evening honors them.”
