Celebrity Sightings – November 2017

by | Oct 26, 2017 | Celebrity Sightings

I am completely a child of the 90’s. I love 90’s music in a way that it makes me feel like I am home no matter where I am. When we received this celebrity sighting I was only wishing and dreaming I could have been hanging with Anne-Marie Bjorkman the night she had the opportunity to take a photo with 90’s Rap Icon, LL Cool J. James Todd Smith (born January 14, 1968), better known by his stage name LL Cool J (short for Ladies Love CoolJames),[1] is an American rapper, actor, author and entrepreneur from Queens, New York. He is known for such hip hop hits as “I Can’t Live Without My Radio”, “I’m Bad”, “The Boomin’ System”, “Rock The Bells” and “Mama Said Knock You Out”, as well as romantic ballads such as “Doin’ It”, “I Need Love”, “Around the Way Girl” and “Hey Lover”. LL Cool J is also known as one of the forefathers of pop rap. He has released 13 studio albums and two greatest hits compilations. His 12th album Exit 13 (2008), was his last for his long-tenured deal with Def Jam Recordings. His latest album, Authentic, was released in April 2013. In 2010, VH1 considered him to be on their “100 Greatest Artists Of All Time” list.
LL Cool J has also appeared in numerous films, including In Too Deep, Any Given Sunday, S.W.A.T., Mindhunters, and Edison. He currently stars in an action role as NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna, on the CBS crime drama television series NCIS: Los Angeles. LL Cool J is also the host of Lip Sync Battle on Spike.
“He is a super nice guy,” said Jake Valente. While dining out just before taking a flight out of LAX, Jacob and his family ran in to Vince Vaughn. A producer, actor and writer, Vincent Anthony Vaughn was born on March 28, 1970, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was raised in Lake Forest, Illinois. Vince was interested in theater early on and grabbed a spot in a Chevy commercial. In 1988 he moved to Hollywood. He managed to hit a few spots on television, but his real goal was to make it to the big screen. He made his first credited role in the film Rudy(1993) where he met his friend Jon Favreau, who was writing a script detailing his life as an out-of-work actor. Vince was written into Swingers (1996) by Jon to play the character of “Trent.“ He signed on just as a favor to his buddy, not realizing it would be a career changing role. Vince is considered the leader of, what the media refers to as, “The Frat Pack,” along with Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Owen Wilson, and Luke Wilson. The “Frat Pack” name is a reference to the film, Old School (2003), featuring Vaughn, Ferrell and Luke Wilson, due to the wide number of films featuring the seven actors. Vaughn’s “Frat Pack“ films include, Wedding Crashers (2005), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy(2004), Starsky & Hutch (2004) and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004).
More recently, Vaughn was nominated at the Australian Film Critics Association Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Sgt. Howell in Hacksaw Ridge (2016).
Local business owner Josh Abramson, of 1-800-A.AlbrightPainting.com, recently had the opportunity to take a photo with LaDainian Tomlinson – Hall of Fame running back for the San Diego Chargers. Tomlinson (born June 23, 1979) is a former professional American football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He played the majority of his career with the San Diego Chargers, who selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. Tomlinson was invited to five Pro Bowls, was an All-Pro six times, and won consecutive rushing titles in 2006 and 2007. At the time of his retirement, he ranked fifth in career rushing yards (13,684), seventh in all-purpose yards (18,456), second in career rushing touchdowns (145), and third in touchdowns from scrimmage (162). He currently serves as an analyst on NFL Network. After being elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014, Tomlinson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August 2017, his first year of eligibility.
