Elks Black Jack Toy Run for Veterans Children
The Metropolitan District Elks are hosting a community Black Jack Bike & Car Toy Run to benefit Veterans’ children on Saturday, November 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Children of Veterans make many sacrifices, and have such emotional experiences, when their military parent(s) are away from home bravely protecting and serving our country. This fundraiser lets these children know their efforts are also recognized and appreciated by our community.
Your participation in this fundraiser will bring smiles and joy to Veterans’ children with toys donated by participants! Distribution of toys will be made through Habitat for Humanity and other organizations.
Ladies and Gentlemen: Get your motorcycles and cars ready for this fun run that will start at the Burbank Elks Lodge with a continental breakfast; then on to the Sunland-Tujunga Elks Lodge; followed by a visit to the San Fernando Elks Lodge; and finishing at the Santa Clarita Elks Lodge for lunch, live music, opportunity drawings, and the announcement of the Bike & Car Toy Run winners!
The pre-entry fee is $25 for drivers, and $20 for each rider. On the day of the event, the fee will be $30 for drivers and $25 for each rider. The entry fee includes lunch. Additional hands will be available for $20 each hand. Each participant is requested to bring an unwrapped toy worth $10 or more. This is a ‘No Colors’ event.
The famous Santa Clarita Elks BBQ Team will be serving their delicious, mouth-watering barbecue tri-tip sandwiches. The live band, ‘Catch 22,’ will provide a music-filled afternoon for your listening and dancing pleasure.
