Looking For The Magic Pill?

Are you looking for the magic pill to look and feel your absolute best? The truth is there is no magic pill. Proper nutrition and adequate exercise is the real way to look and feel your best! Eating healthy and getting regular exercise can literally cure or at the least drastically minimize the issues related with certain diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, Restless Leg Syndrome, Heart Disease and the list goes on. In fact, proper nutrition and exercise has been implicated in helping people prevent and or recover from various forms of cancer. Exercise can help prevent, treat and reverse depression and anxiety. Good Nutrition and exercise can even help with arthritis and osteoporosis. There’s no arguing that diet and exercise can help people lose weight and build muscle, strength, flexibility, coordination and stamina. Now that I’ve sold you on the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise let me give you a few tips. When it comes to proper nutrition I highly suggest that you keep it simple. Be sure to eat real whole foods and plenty of them. Balance your carbs, proteins and healthy fats. Reduce your caloric consumption by maintaining proper portion control. Lastly, plan and prepare your meals and snacks in advance to increase your chances of successfully following your diet. As far as exercise goes I think it is important to choose activities that you enjoy because it will increase your chances of making it a habit. Be sure to mix it up. Variation is the key to rapid results. As a trainer I highly suggest to root your fitness routine in good old fashioned weight training. Weight training is hands down the most effective way to transform your physique as well as boost your fitness level. Balance your program out by adding a few other exercise disciplines like yoga, pilates or kickboxing into the mix. The bottom line is get active, challenge yourself and make sure that you are enjoying what you are doing. I promise you that if you do the things I mentioned above you will be looking and feeling great in no time. Trust me, it is well worth the effort!
