Almost every country song about Texas reminds you that Texas is larger than life. That is exactly what happens when a bunch of ex-lovers and ex-spouses get together in The Canyon Theatre Guild’s upcoming show—-Rex’s Exes. Playing March-April in Old Town Newhall, the Verdeen cousins, Gaynelle, Peaches, and Jimmie from The Red Velvet Cake War are back once more with more mischief in Sweetgum, Texas. This rollicking Southern comedy should leave you rolling in the aisles for sometime. Ticket prices are $19 for Adults and $17 for Juniors (Under 18) and Seniors (Over 62) in rows 1-10 and $17 for Adults and $15 for Juniors and Seniors in rows 11-back.
After taking a journey to the deep south with us, if you are looking for more laughs, come take yet another voyage to Queens, New York! In March-April The Canyon Theatre will be presenting The Cemetery Club. In this comedy, three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea to reminisce about the good ole’ days before going to visit their husband’s graves. Ida is very congenial and is ready to begin anew; Lucille is very spirited and just wants to have a good time; and Doris is straight-laced, proper, and very critical. Like most stories like this one, the real shenanigans begin when a member of the opposite sex comes into the picture. This hysterical good natured comedy will leave you laughing all night long. Tickets prices are $19 for Adults, and $17 for Juniors (Under 18) and Seniors (Over 62) in rows 1-10 and $17 for Adults and $15 for Juniors and Seniors in rows 11-back.
Please call the box office at 661-799-2702 for tickets or for more information about either one of these shows. We will be more than happy to assist you. Both of these shows will guarantee a whole lot of laughs and a good time for old and young alike.
