Tom Petty, Burritos and Cocktails

The WiSH Education Foundation has been mighty busy this year providing our community with fun events to entertain you while raising badly needed funds for Wm. S. Hart District classrooms – and we’re not done yet! Get up on your feet and dance to the music of Tom Petty at the 20th Anniversary of the David Fernandez Singer Songwriter Series on June 30 at the LIMS Studios in Castaic. Were you there last year to celebrate the music of David Bowie? Then you already have your ticket to this year’s event. Missed it? Then you’d better get on www.WiSHscv.org today because tickets are selling fast! They start at just $20. What’s new this year? To benefit local music programs, we are collecting gently used instruments for distribution to our local students! On August 14 we gather our closest 3,000 friends to watch five linemen from each of the six football teams in the district as they race to eat a six-foot burrito on stage at the annual Burrito Bowl. Held at the top of Town Center Drive at Westfield Valencia Town Center, this event raises funding for all of the high schools in the district – the teams, the bands, the cheerleaders and more. So, when a student comes by to sell you a raffle ticket for the amazing prizes given out that night, say “Yes, I’ll take FIVE!” There are opportunities for sponsors and businesses to take advantage of the big crowd at this event – contact us to find out more.
You’ve just been to our inaugural Wine on the Roof event and are ready for more fun on THE ROOF…so here it is…Cocktails on the Roof is back again on September 7th and tickets are already selling briskly! Welcome back up to the top of the Macy’s parking garage where 40 tents await you with amazing food and creative, signature cocktails. Be treated to cool lighting, dancing to the DJ and cozy, modern lounges to relax in. Your favorite local restaurants and spirit vendors will be back again to tempt you with mouthwatering food and drink.
