A Gentle Anniversary

The Gentle Barn is celebrating 19 years of saving animals from severe abuse and neglect, and healing children with the same stories. They are currently home to approximately 170 animals and have saved animals from all over the country.
“We have saved dogs in Ohio, calves in Texas, horses in South Carolina, 500 animals from a hoarder, hundreds of animals from a backyard butcher, we have worked with the Los Angeles Police Department, the animal control and other rescues to save thousands of animals. Once the animals are healed and happy, they help us heal children who are in need of recovery too. Over the last 19 years we have saved thousands of animals who had nowhere else to go and helped thousands of kids. We are proud of our accomplishments and very grateful to our supporters for enabling us to do this work!”
If you have not been out to The Gentle Barn yet, we highly recommend that you do. They are open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where you can hug a cow, give a pig a tummy rub, feed the horses, cuddle the turkeys, hear their inspiring stories, have a snack, and make new friends. They do private tours and birthday parties as well. See you out there!
