Finding the Right Veterinarian for your Family

 In today’s world of the internet, social media, and TV/Radio ads, gone are the days of our little neighborhood veterinarian that saw all of our animals, and all of our friends, family, and neighbor’s animals from horses to hedgehogs.  It seems that there are veterinary clinics on every corner these days. For the pet owner that is great, as it gives you the opportunity to find the veterinarian that is right for your pet and your family. But how do we choose?
Narrowing down all of our options can be overwhelming. First find a veterinarian that sees the species of pet you have.  For example, some veterinarians only see dogs and cats, while some only see snakes. Next, ask yourself how far you are willing to travel, what services the local veterinarians offer.  Feedback from your peers regarding their veterinarians may be helpful. Most importantly you need to find a veterinarian that you and your pet are comfortable with and one that meets your needs.
