Festival of Trees Annual Fundraiser for Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley

by | Oct 30, 2018 | Community

Kick-off this holiday season and help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley at Festival of Trees!  Co-Chairs Marshall and Kathleen Hann invite you to this annual holiday fundraiser.  The Boys & Girls Club is making a difference in the lives of thousands of local children and teens by supporting their academic success, providing a second home, and building leaders.  At the Festival of Trees support the Club’s mission when you view and bid on the many beautifully designed and elaborately decorated large trees, tabletop trees and charming one-of-a-kind gingerbread houses. Large trees range in height from six to nine feet and many come with gifts including event tickets, wine, furniture, jewelry and more!  Many large trees are only available to bid on during the Live Auction at the Magic of the Lights Gala on Friday November 16 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.  Festival general admission is Saturday and Sunday November 17-18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., $10 adults, $5 children/seniors/military. Simply visit www.scvbgc.org for details.
There is something for everyone at Festival of Trees! Children will find a variety of fun crafts and activities in the Kids’ Corner (additional activity ticket required, purchase on site).  Singers, musicians, dancers and more will be featured on the stage throughout the Festival and strolling magicians will be on hand to dazzle the crowd with some amazing tricks.  At the Jingle Jam dance the night away (Saturday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).  Swing dance lessons are included for beginners while there is plenty of space for advanced dancers to cut a rug! Finally, don’t miss out on a Photo with Santa!  Have your family photo taken with the big guy himself.  Photos are printed on site.  (additional photo ticket required, purchase on site) Saturday afternoon join us for Holiday Hocus Pocus for up close and on-stage magic.  This is a great event for fans of magic both young and old.
At Festival of Trees you will find a Holiday Boutique presented by Cottage Lane Festivals. The boutique features booths with handmade crafts, fashion jewelry and accessories, clothing, food, gifts, holiday decor and much more.  It’s the perfect place to do some holiday gift shopping (or to get something for yourself).
Join us for the premier Festival of Trees event! Enjoy boutique shopping and a hosted cocktail reception amongst silent auction gingerbread houses and tabletop trees, followed by live entertainment, a live auction of the large trees, drinks, and gourmet food. Festive attire. Advanced reservations required (Individual tickets and tables available).
Founded in 1968, the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley provides 1,600 local youth, ages seven to 17, with programs that provide a safe and supportive environment, support academic success, and develops character and leadership. Membership is just $60 a year for the first child and $45 for each additional sibling (scholarships available).  The Club’s mission is to “enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.”  If you would like to be sponsor for the Festival of Trees, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, please contact the Club’s Resource Development Director, Ali Campbell at 661-254-2582 ext. 114 oralic@scvbgc.org or visit us online at www.scvbgc.org
