How to Control Teen Acne?

A friend of mine asked me if I could take a look at her son’s skin and possibly recommend some skin care advice for his acne.  I invited Jordan to the spa to do a complete skin analysis to determine how I could control his acne breakouts.  The first thing I always tell my clients that have acne is that acne is not curable, it’s only controllable.  It also takes a commitment and you have to follow through with daily at-home care.  After I analyzed Jordan’s skin, I went full force with controlling the acne. I began with weekly appointments with acne treatments. I then sent Jordan home with detailed instructions of at-home care as well as a hand-held LED acne light that was used nightly in conjunction with the acne products. I began to see a difference in his skin after two weeks and by week four his skin was clear.  I explained to Jordan that although his skin was now clear, he would still need to continue to come in for his appointments once a month and eventually every other month and continue with the at-home care and he should have complete control over the acne.

Again controlling the acne isn’t always as simple as just buying a complete acne line; not all acne lines work for everyone. The products should be customized to your acne.  If you would like a free evaluation of your skin, please call and set up an appointment for a consult.
