Romance and love fill the air, but don’t just celebrate one day in February with your special someone, take the entire month to show your loved one that you care.  It won’t be difficult to find something to do or see as our Valley is packed with fun-filled events this month.
You may recognize one or all of the three “movies” we have featured on our cover this issue.  You may even recognize the “stars” on the cover.  That’s because we’re gearing up for the ever so popular SCV Senior Center’s Celebrity Waiter 2011 “Up on the Silver Screen” event.  From Casablanca to The Hangover, this star-studded event will take place on Saturday, February 26.  My personal thanks go out to everyone who helped to bring this cover together, we had so much fun.  For details, see facing page.   
Enjoy a cup of tea and celebrate survivorship at this year’s Cancer Survivor’s Tea at the SCV Senior Center on Wednesday, February 2, to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Judith Harris will entertain the audience as she serves up some lighthearted and inspiring commentaries about the meaning of life, journeys and challenges.  See page 24 for details.
For all you wine connoisseurs, get ready for the 1st annual SCV Wine Fest on Saturday, February 12 at the Embassy Suites in Santa Clarita.  Wine lovers will be able to sample from over 100 different labels and enjoy an afternoon of educational seminars and an evening of fine dining.  See page 25 for more information.
Fall in love with health this month and take control of your well-being.  Join the SCV Chamber of Commerce as they host their 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, February 26.  The event will take place at the College of the Canyons Student Center and is free to the public.  Learn about the healthcare services available in our community as well as receive free health information and screenings.  For detailed information about the event, turn to page 22.

We take great importance in helping out and being involved in many of the wonderful organizations in our Valley.  Moe recently joined the SCV Sheriff’s Foundation to serve as a director on the board.  He was also inducted into the SCV Chamber of Commerce last month, and we are so pleased to be a part of organizations that strive to make our community a better one.    
Looking ahead, be sure and save the date and purchase your tickets now for the much-anticipated Dancing With Our Stars event on Saturday, April 2.  Fourteen dancing duos will take the stage and dance their way to the top for a good cause!  Turn to page 6 to see how you can be a part of this special event!
