Many times employees have a better understanding of the consequences, of a decision on employees and departments, as well as the obstacles involved. It is important that employees express themselves. Many times very capable employees are the least likely to express concerns, in relation to the impact of things they are involved in.
It is necessary that employees involvement in decision making, includes making the workload more even. One of the important things to consider is how the manager, or possibly several managers combined, makes decisions. You need to look at how decisions need to be made in these situations.
There is a need to understand what may be lacking in how decisions are made and how your involvement as an employment, could improve the process. What do you need to do to fit into the process, in a positive and effective manner? Employees may need to learn and grow, in relation to how they need to interact with various managers.
It is very important to understand what the blocks are with people. Is it how someone looks at things? Is it a limitation of someone’s knowledge? Is it how someone relates to other people? Employees need to understand, what they need to do to be effective in the decision making process. Consider who will be impacted by the decision being made. Is it employees? Is it the business? Or is it the market you serve? Who does it impact? What are the consequences of the decision? Consider as an employee are you a good fit for this process?
