The Centurions Go Green

Gone with the old and in with the new!  Now that the New Year is here, it’s time to get rid of the old unwanted electronics and unwrap the shiny new ones you received during the holidays.  Old televisions, computer monitors, towers, cell phones and telephones should not be thrown away in the garbage.  E-waste, as it’s referred to, needs to be disposed of properly for environmental health purposes.
On Saturday, January 14, the Saugus High School Softball Booster Club is going green.  They will be hosting a free electronics-recycling event at Saugus High School, located at 21900 Centurion Way in Saugus.  Safely dispose of your electronic products and drop them off, free of charge. They will be collecting computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, mp3 players, ink & toner cartridges, printers, microwaves, cables and wires, laptops and all other electronics from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Proceeds will be used for equipment, materials, and supplies to enhance the athletic experience of the players within the Saugus Centurion High School Softball program.
For more information or to donate, call Lelien Gonzales at 661-904-5751.  Electronic Waste International is licensed as a California authorized Recycler and Collector of universal waste.
