The lazy days of summer will soon come to an end as children head back to school.  We hope you had the chance to enjoy some fun in the sun as well as attend some of the wonderful events that our community has offered over the past few months.  

We are so pleased to feature most of the Santa Clarita stars and professional dancers who will be participating in the 4th Annual Dancing With Our Stars event on the cover of this issue of The Magazine of Santa Clarita.  

It will be an evening of fun on Saturday, September 22 as thirteen dancing duos will hit the dance floor, all to support our local non-profit organizations.  Come be a part of this exciting event!  For more information on our cover story, see opposite page.
For all you golfers, it’s time to tee off for a good cause! Hit the greens on Monday, August 6, for the Nicole Parker Foundation for Children, as they will be hosting their annual Golf Classic at the beautiful Robinson Ranch Mountain Course.  For details, turn to page 18.
Get ready for some laughs as comedian Jay Leno will be joining other comedy all stars on Tuesday, August 7 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, benefitting the SCV Youth Project.  Turn to page 25 for more information on this one night of comedy event.
Over the last few months we have asked our readers to vote for their favorite businesses for the First Annual Santa Clarita Valley Leadership Awards, and the results are in.  Come join us as we will celebrate the entrepreneurial successes on Thursday, August 16 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Valencia.  See page 17 for more details.
