More than 900 local volunteers participated in the seventh annual Make A Difference Day sponsored by the Volunteer Resource Center of SCV.  Together they completed 36 projects throughout the valley, putting in a combined total of 4,000 hours of volunteer time.  From planting to painting to placemat-making, there was something for everyone.
Make A Difference Day came one week after the local fires, which meant that volunteers were even able to create 14 tons’ worth of sandbags for LARC Ranch to protect their hillsides when it rains this winter.
