Celebrate Independence Day in Stevenson Ranch

The Stevenson Ranch Communication Association will be celebrating Independence Day with a fabulous fireworks display.  This year residents are invited to view the Pyro Spectaculars Company fireworks display.  There is no cost to view the show.
Bring your family, blankets and chairs and sit under the stars and watch the brilliant show.  The event will take place at the Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park located at 26233 West Faulkner Drive in Stevenson Ranch.  The park gates will open at 5 p.m. and fireworks will be displayed after dark.  For safety reasons, the back gate will be locked the entire day.
Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed and representatives from the Sheriff’s department, Highway Patrol and private security will be on hand for safety purposes.
Come celebrate America’s birthday.

Fun By The Lake

The Friends of Castaic Lake and the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation are sponsoring the Fifth Annual ‘All Day’ 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks Show.
Again this year the public will be able to picnic and swim all morning and then enjoy water slides and jumpers, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Also in the afternoon there will be food booths and music entertainment.  Music will be provided 5 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
The big show, of course, will be a $29,000 ‘Lights of Freedom’ fireworks extravaganza.  The show is produced by Pyro Spectaculars, a world-renowned producer of shows for major events.
The regular cost of event is only $25 per carload at the entrance gates or $5 per person walk-in (five years old and under are free).  No RVs or open truck bed passengers will be allowed.  Additional inside parking will be available after 5 p.m. and will be filled on a first come basis.
It is very important to note that vehicle parking inside the Recreational Area is limited and lots will be filled on a first come basis.  Outside parking lots will be available, but will require the use of walk-in gates on the South and West sides of the Lower Lake Recreation Area.
For more information please call 661-257-4050. The Castaic Lake Recreational Area is located at 32132 Castaic Lake Drive in Castaic.
