Often infants are taught to fear water soon after they come home from the maternity ward. Mothers with their first babies are usually very nervous in handling the child and afraid the baby will slip in the bath. Mother’s anxiety will be reflected, and possibly amplified, in the child’s attitude toward water.

A well-balanced diet and a healthy exercise regimen are fundamental for a long healthy life. Children today are not as active as we were growing up. Today we need to get our children away from the computer and television screens and do something with them to help keep them fit. A fun way is walking.
