Runners Gear Up for City's Sporting Event of the Year - Santa Clarita Marathon The City of Santa Clarita is proud to present the 12th Annual Santa Clarita Marathon, which is an official qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. The marathon is slated for Sunday, November 4, 2007, and features a full marathon, a half marathon, a 5K Run/Walk, and a Kid K run. All races will begin at 7 a.m., at McBean Parkway and Mall Entrance Avenue, with the exception of the Kid K, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
Ring in the Season of Giving at the Festival of Trees Co-chairs Janice and Eddie Murray invite everyone to get into the holiday spirit at the fifth annual Festival of Trees benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of SCV. This year, the Festival will be held one night only on Saturday, November 10 at the Hyatt Valencia. The evening event called “The Magic of the Lights Gala” will feature elaborately decorated holiday trees ranging in height from 6 to 9 feet, which will all be for sale in a live auction.

Boxes are being delivered to our local businesses to collect new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
