Our cover story this month features the very popular Frontier Toyota/Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital “Drive Safe” Golf Classic, which returns to the Valencia Country Club on May 17. Now in its 35th year, proceeds from the event will benefit emergency and trauma services at Henry Mayo. Nearly $280,000 was raised in 2007.
Register Now for the 7th Annual Fight It 5K The signature fundraising event for the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF) takes place annually in May in the Santa Clarita Valley and is produced by the SCV Jaycees. The 7th Annual “Fight It! 5K” will be held on Saturday, May 17. This competitive run/walk takes place on the cross country course through Central Park in Santa Clarita." Last year, the event raised $20,000.
