Get to Know Your City Representative - David Knutson Arts and Events Coordinator, David Knutson, started in theater, but was offered an opportunity to work as a lighting technician for the Concerts in the Park series, free summer concerts run by the City of Santa Clarita Arts and Events office. Dave enjoyed it so much that he continued to help as a part time employee for the Arts and Events Department. “I eventually worked into a full time position and became more involved in events and public art,” states Dave.

Food Pantry Awarded Grant The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry recently received a $15,000 grant from the Boston Scientific Foundation to support the organization’s milk program. The mission of the SCV Food Pantry is to alleviate hunger throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. While the state of the economy is continually on a crunch, more and more people are having trouble paying for groceries.
